Can I pay the course fees in instalments?
Courses can be paid in instalments, however, at present this must be done via telephone whilst speaking to one of our course advisors. If you would like to pay monthly, please contact your local SHEilds office.
How do I receive my results?
NEBOSH
You will receive your results electronically (email), directly from NEBOSH on the results declaration date – information can be found on your booking confirmation slip.
IOSH
You will receive your IOSH exam results immediately.
IEMA
You will receive your IEMA exam results immediately.
NVQs
NVQ courses are an ongoing evaluation and can be completed in just a few months, however, this depends on the students’ time dedication to the course
How do I receive my certificate?
NEBOSH
We will receive your certificate 28 days after you’ve received your results. We’ll then contact you and send your certificate to an address of your choosing via post. There may be a small courier delivery fee.
IOSH
We will receive your certificate 8-10 weeks after you’ve completed your course. We’ll then contact you and send your certificate to an address of your choosing via post. There may be a small courier delivery fee.
IEMA
We will receive your certificate approximately 4 weeks after you’ve completed your course. We’ll then contact you and send your certificate to an address of your choosing via post. There may be a small courier delivery fee.
NVQs
NVQ certificates are now electronic. You will receive your electronic certificate via email approximately 2 – 3 weeks after you have received confirmation of completing your course.
What course would you recommend to become a safety officer?
It is recommended to study qualifications starting at ‘award’, moving onto ‘certificate’ and then ‘Diploma’ level. A certificate qualification is suitable for entry into safety officer positions, however, some employers may also require candidates to complete a Diploma.
Is an e-Learning certificate the same as one studied in a classroom?
Yes, the certificates being different is a common myth around e-learning, where many students are worried their qualification will not be valued as highly should they have studied in a classroom. The certificate you will receive at the end of the course is the exact same and you cannot tell the method of study.
