IOSH membership internationally
International IOSH membership
The Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) are now the largest body of Health and Safety Practitioners in the world and the only one with Chartered status which came into force in 2003.
IOSH was formed in 1945 and has now more than 40000 members in over 85 countries and is a registered charity in England.
The organisation influences Occupational Health and Safety through the campaigns it runs, issues guidance documents and lays down codes of conduct for those professional Health and Safety persons who are members.
The changes that have come about through the hard, professional work of IOSH as an institution are not just limited to the UK but can be found both in Europe and the wider world.
Membership levels of IOSH are from associate to Fellow (chartered) with all levels undertaking a Continuous Professional Development program to ensure that we all keep up to date with our Occupational Health and Safety skills.
