IOSH Working safely course gets construction industry recognition

Safety, health and environment for construction site managers course . What level of job can this qualification get me ?
How much does it cost to do ?

The level of job is highly depending on your experience, as well as, which construction course you have (level 3, 4, 5, 6, etc.). Should you do the NEBOSH level 3 construction, this would be usually sufficient for a health and safety officer, up to the site manager or site safaty manager. Costs are that of the eLearning course, plus the associated examination(s) and possible local sitting fee.
I am a graduate holding a diploma in safety management and would like to know, what further courses should i take to improve my chances of being employed because I don’t have any experience.

The best things to do are to look at specialised certificates. If you are wanting a job in a certain sector then it can pay off to have a qualification in the specialised subject. You can do this with a range of NEBOSH Certificates.
You could also look at trying to get some experience behind you, if you haven’t had a job in health and safety, you are at a disadvantage to someone who is more experienced. You can look at work shadowing, applying for temporary placements or seeing if a company needs an on-call advisor for sick leave cover. Speaking to friends in other companies may be a great way to link an employer to you and your skills.
Regardless, don’t give up on applying for jobs. Remember that everyone starts somewhere in all industries and job roles.
